Default So check out what I just got...

I always wanted a hobby grade r/c heli after owning like 6 nitro/electric trucks and cars, and the other day I found this:

Walkera 4#3B(2.4G) 4CH Mini RC Helicopter

Seems the new alum. rotor head and swash plate fixes a lot of issues from the older model, and looks really cool lol.

Perfect size to mess around with in the dorm, and it has the potential to be an outdoor heli too. So I bought it, should be here in a week. Should be fun =).

I always wanted to get into RC heli's. I did so much research into them back in the day, never had the money though, and then when I had the money, i didnt have the time.

Electric is a great way to start, they are really forgiving for first time fliers. At least thats what I read.

Good luck dude, post pics and vids when you get it.

I will when I get it. Prices have gone down a lot for most types of r/c, you can get a good electric 3d copter with around a 500mm wingspan for around $200. not to mention battery tech. with li-poly. This micro I got should be pretty fun.

I got into helis when I was around 13, and got a nice electric 3D one about a year ago. The smaller electrics are a good way to get started, things aren't too expensive to replace when you crash. On the down side, the small ones are pretty unstable, so expect to chase it around a lot.

You should check out WattFlyer RC Electric Flight Forums - Discuss radio control eflight if you need help on anything. Not as interesting a forum as here, but helpful if you have any problems.

My dad picked up a honey bee king 2 after I got him interested in electrics with my Trex. For its size, it's really stable, I like it. (Like my Trex more though, it's ****** insane).
