He rode with another friend of Keith's and just coaching cut 1-2 seconds off that guy's lap times.

And he drives that well on the street, too. Did a DSM cruise last yr and we were 14 out of 14 cars at the beginning, against a few Evo8s (3 or 4), a modded 944 Turbo, and several GS-X and GS-T Eclipses that all had over 400whp. Halfway thru the "spirited cruise" we were 2d, only cause the person leading was the only one who knew the route. When we stopped, EVERYONE was running up asking what was done to the Miata. It only had Koni's and GC Coilovers (700FR/325RR), and shitty Ziex 512 tires. They thought it had to have a turbo or something, cause they couldn't keep up in the twisties.
8-12 of my buddies are going to msr this weekend to run the 3.1. I'm going to hallett. I'm going to be pissed when I come back to dallas and can't get any track time.

Ever take a 1 gallon jug of water or milk, shake it and then set it on a table to watch it move on it's own because of the liquid inside?

Yeah, take that, multiply it by 600 or so then multiply that by 8 (weight of water per gallon) and add about another 800 pounds or so for foam... then put that about 6 feet above the ground and you'll have what I had to deal with when this happened.

I'd have to say I'm a slightly better than average driver and not just by my own admittance.

In case you were wondering, that was over 500 feet of skidmark thanks to piece of **** retreads.

i think the first step to being a good driver is to admit that you are a bad driver, and that you can always learn and get better.

Those that think they can drive are usually the worse.
