Default so i got the giggles today w/ the alignment

440/350 Gc's with stiff valved bilsteins and a good alignment...this little car handles so well, I got the giggles. I can't wait to get it on the track this saturday.

Sweet.

That reminds me, I gotta re-do my alignment. What did you set it at?

Is it the Lanny setting that has the rear toe in ?
I had that done before and found it didn't corner as well as with no toe in or with a small bit of toe out.
The car didn't feel as 'planted' in the corners with the little toe out.

im going to be getting an alignment soon. I plan to go with these specs:

Front:
1/16 toe out
1.5* camber
max caster with the above settings

Rear:
1/16 toe in
2* camber

On my other miata i have had the following alignment with good results and no unusual wear.

Front:
0 toe
1* camber
max caster

Rear:
1/16 toe in
1.5* camber

The car won't feel planted anywhere with any toe out in the rear.

um, what? Are you sure it was a good alignment, or good tires?

I think its great. Throttle on with a nice, slight rotation, straightens back out off the gas (gently off of course) with gentle understeer.

Understeer for a beginner.

Back must have had no toe out so, as the car felt like it was on rails.
With the toe in (Lanny) it didn't feel as good for some reason.
Naw, the tyres weren't new.

I go to an old school shop with some techs that have been doing it the old fashioned way for 40 years probably. After the first miata he said it was about the easiest car he has aligned in awhile.
