His other 2 cars and brand new and under warranty. He's used to white glove auto repair. And he pays for it. We spend less and do it ourselves. Different philosophies is all.

My prediction -

He has it towed to a dealer and gets raped. They'll eat him up. Over automatic Miata no less.

He's better off putting the car on Craiglist for $500 as-is, because if he doesn't even know how to check the oil, he's got a rocky road ahead.

lol he could do that **** in an hour; oil change, battery, and air. Yet several days have gone by and still nothing but more suggestions on where to take it.
