Not kidding, my FM MBC which used to reside between my turbo compressor and wastegate actuator is GONE. It was zip-tied to the intake tube, with a blue silicon tube connecting it to the compressor, and an orange tube connecting it to the actuator.

Whoever removed the MBC took it and the orange silicon tube. They then ran the blue tube through the zip tie and connected it to the wastegate actuator.
So while they did not feel wrong about stealing my MBC, they did hook signal to the actuator!!

Don't know how I feel about this. Fucked up that someone would steal something, but at the same time I'm glad that my motor is OK.

That's fucked up. Hadn't ever really considered things being stolen from under the hood...geez!

Let me guess. You left the top down, somebody saw the IC, popped the hood while you were in the store, took the MBC, and hoped you'd be down the road somewhere before you noticed half your boost was gone? That sucks both my nuts right off! At least the guy hooked your **** back up. If he'd left the source off, you'd stomp it, blow past about 20psi, and blow a motor. He wasn't completely heartless.

Mine is bolted to the fenderwall, so they'd need a 10mm socket to get it off, but that's total BULLSHIT!!! Glad that's all they got though. Just think, now it's time to buy one of the $10 ebay replacements and see if it's just as good.

And it's possible you're the new Rican... did you check your oil?

Did you have your hood open for a while recently or do you think someone popped the hood, stole it, reconnected the WG, & closed the hood? now that would be badass.

 

Yeah, someone must have seen the car while I was in a store or restaurant or something, opened the hood, took the MBC, replaced the hose, closed the hood, and took off.

No way of me knowing even when I left because I haven't entered into boost on my new clutch yet.

 

It's the re-connect which strikes me as odd. A dick-head with a conscience? It also means it could have been gone for some time,

 

You should rig up one of those jack-in-the-box things with a boxing glove on it under your hood, so anyone that opens it unknowingly will get punched in the face, or maybe if you get it just right, the *****.

hmm... perhaps I should disable my hood latch handle post turbo, or at least relocate it to the trunk and disable the trunk release in the console. That sucks dude, but it is kind of funny that they hooked it back up. I wouldn't have.

 

Perhaps the ************ will hook it up to his car, crank da boost, and blow it up.
