The funny part is that I honestly didn't have an pre-conceived notions about race until he brought it up. These days, the urban dialect has become so widespread that one might just as easily be conversing with a hispanic, a guido, or just a plain ole' angry white boy.

What you mean is a typical black person...meaning most african americans. My family on the other hand are from Ghana. Im the first gen. african-american in my family since I and my sisters were the only ones born here from my family. My 3 sisters are lawyers, plastic surgeons, and therapists and my dads a family physician and moms an office manager. Im in school now to be a mechanical engineer. I dont mean to sound like a braggster but I dont consider any of us to be failboats. If thats truly what you believe then you have never had an encounter with a non-ignorant black person.
