Uh? My 3600+ pound car goes from 70-0 stock:stock over 10 feet shorter than the SRT4? Thats 1000 pounds MORE than an SRT4.

I'm told they fade fast on a track too.. But that I don't know for fact. Don't get me wrong, its a formidable car in a straight line, but add in stopping and corners and its a whole different ballgame than the other 4 door sports sedans..

All I know is that they're better than Neon brakes (not hard, I'll give you that) but for a car that cost $20k new, I'm not complaining. I've never once felt like I wasn't going to be able to stop for anything, and lately I've had people in front of me pull some retarded **** in traffic..

True. Forgot to factor in the price tag.. That makes a bit of a difference all around. Dunno I just have this thing against Neons.. They're very unattractive looking cars IMO. I like the exhaust note, but hate 'the clap' they've got. Everything I've read about them they're basically like the highschool muscle car of the 21st century.

Sorry... I had to.

SRT4's can be fast. But I'd rather have something that can be fast and handle. And I don't like FWD. I've hated that since I first had a tricycle.

LMAO... Well, given its history its actually more genuine than Porsches held in high regards. Its completely Porsche designed with almost 100% Porsche parts (Save the Audi trans and Mitsu balance shafts), unlike the 911 which was originally made with VW parts. So, technically its more "Porsche" than other Porsches.

Its funny though, that the guy is complaining about the 944 honking all quick at the start of the race... Like that was gonna make a difference.

Sorry, I only did that to get a rise from ya.

Have a friend with several, one of which is a Silver Rose 944 which hes been disowned from the Porsche club because a previous owner took the plaid interior out and put in black..

He has the IIRC 85 Silver Rose 944 Turbo, 1999 996 C4, 2002 911, and a 2004 GT3 cup car (Minus a motor.. Hes saving..) He'll only let me drive the 996 so far, and my god I want one badly. The last auto-x event I ran in even with the electronic crap turned on I took nearly 6 seconds off my best miata lap the very first lap with the 996.. I kept pushing and it kept pushing back, the car even called me a ***** in one corner. Only thing I hated about it, when I got on the brakes moderately hard at like the last possible second before starting to apex it started the ABS program and stoled the pedal from me!! At that point I hadn't even begun to lockup the brakes yet! Simply incredible cars to say the very very least.. That 996 was a STEAL at 30k!

Isn't that it right there at the end? Or is that a random collection of 10 numerals?
