We had a Miata Club party at my house this weekend (about 40 people were here). After the party was over there were two couples left, one couple was spending the night with us (for further partying) and the other couple had purchased my '91 smurf blue a few months ago. Well, they jumped in my old car, threw it in reverse and backed into our Mazdaspeed. One in a million shot that didn't do as much damage as it could have because someone had taken our MSM for a spin and left it in gear instead of setting the e-brake like I always do (the car had a little give to it). Couple this with the fact that we are doing a dp/ic upgrade in two weeks and some ironic **** was going on:

1) My car was hit by my old car.
2) The last car out of ~30 to leave my house hit me in the middle of a field with no one else around.
3) The car was left in gear for the first time ever instead of having the brake on.
4) The bumper needs to be removed for repairs but it was already planned to remove it in 2 weeks anyway for the upgrades.
5) We had already been planning on getting the bumper resprayed because of a failed grill block install that scratched the mouth all to hell.

 

Weak... Looks like your old Miata is still pissed about you selling it. Glad there wasn't any major damage done though.
