Thumbs down street racing is bad

last week one of the guys in my shop, wrecked his car street racing . nobody got hurt but it was ugly. this dummy who works for me bought a 04 mach1 about a year ago. he spent almost all of his paychecks just to make the car payments and insurance payments, and even then his dad had to help him out . he is too young and stupid to own it .

he decided to race some ricer prelude. while moving along at about 80mph on a city streets someone(suv) pulls out in front of them. the prelude hits the suv , but my idiot employee swerves around and into oncoming traffic. he floors it, overcorrects and begins to spin. he slides over 300 feet kills many bushes/shrubbs and narrowly misses 6 telephone poles. he ends up hitting a brick building(store front) . the building is no longer safe for use. the mint mach1 is dead. some how he got of the street racing charge, but got 6 points on his license.

save it for the track

Sounds like he got off easy.

This is a good reminder. I am no longer young and stupid, but since I have had the turbo in I have found myself driving like a total ******* on a couple of occasions. Need to keep cool and find a track..

Street racing is stupid. I got 2 points last week for going through 2gears with an srt-4 on an open road. I wish I had a track close!

The track is so much cooler anyway. Just don't go into the gravel sideways if you want to keep the shiny side up!

They are getting really serious about street racing out here in hawaii. If you get caught going 15mph over the speed limit, it is $500, 3-5 nights in jail, and 50 hours of community service. The second is double that, and the third you lose your license for a year.

I have street raced for 5 years, and guess what....i have never made any mistakes. I consider myself a good driver, so I think I can handle some street races from time to time

I enjoy a good street race as long as I'm not endangering anyone. Flame away.

Damn i almost got nailed for street racing when all i wanted to do was pass a gti it isn't my fault he was an idiot and down shifted chirping tires and allerting the cop sitting at the fillin station yet becouse i was doign 20 over and he barely hit the speed limit he came after me luckily he couldnt prove street racing but he still worte me up for 15 over. This kinda **** always seems to happen to me maybe i am to throttle happy but damn when i pass someone i get around and away as is safe for everyone i just seem to get caught more times than i like. Wish i had freinds in the system but i dont think i could stomach that kinda relationship.

I wonder why cops say they flashed you at say 80 mph and then right you down as locked in at 70mph is this the standard of error for there aim or what. Or when they drop it like that are they being nice, hedging there bets, just taking the easiest provable charge.

A friend of my is a sheriff for cook county and drives s 450hp NA 2000 SS, he races all the time usually the highway, but mostly the strip.

Anyways one day hes passing an esccalade a city cop pulls him over and starts writing up a ticket for racing (they impound your car instantly) explains that hes a sheriff and that he was just passing the SUV. Fortunately some other city cops and talk some sense into the stupid bitch. Scary thing is if he wasn't a sheriff he would have gotten the ticket and lost his car, ******* crooks.
