On a side note, I was once complemented by a guy driving a V8 Mustang when I accelerated from a stop light. That was back when I had my 1.6 turboed.

My mom thought dual exhaust meant the car is turbocharged. My dad once thought his 02' Mustang GT had a "five-0" and that whatever sized engine was muscle cars of the 60's must be the one used in American cars today.

I try and ignore the ignorance of non car people because I know car stuff isn't the type of thing the average person knows about. However, thinking OEM parts and work done by dealerships are the best thing for your car is stupid and expensive.
