I am beyond words. As I am sure you know by now, a suicide bomber blew himself up in Stockholm a few days ago. This is the first time my country is the victim of anything like this, we have never had such issues before.

The attack was a revenge for Sweden sending peace keeping troops to Afghanistan, supporting UN and working under UN flag. The suicide bomber grew up not far from where I live now. He actualla was in my younger colleagues class during gymnasium.

So, he is of arabian background and came to Sweden as a a child. We shelterned him and his family, we gave them social support until they could get jobs and become like any other citisens in our country. He went to school here and then carried on to study at a university in London. The swedish state most likely paid his education, since university education is for free in Sweden and the state will extend that service if you choose to do you studys in another country.

And then, the ****** goes to Afghanistan, trains to be a terrorist and comes back to blows up a boms in our capital. I am so frustrated right now, and so very angry.

Sincerly: This really changed things for me. We have been spared from these things. We have been spared from war for 200years. We have always been able to say: It doesn't happen here. I guess it was only a matter of time, but it still chocked us (at least me). I am a less generous and less tolerant man tomorrow then I was yesterday.

It does reveal the reality of things happening more than just on TV in far off lands. It makes it real.

Don't come away from this with a general bitter feeling, as that creates hostility toward things undeserving of it. Instead, understand that there is little that you can do to effect future happenings by being angry. Living your life just as it was before will have a much more positive outcome in the future. All they want is to disrupt your way of life, so don't let them.

You have one part of the equation correct.

 

The Al-Qaeda website claims that the bomber was targeting the newspaper, because they print work by the guy who did the cartoon about Mohammed that they got all butt-hurt about a couple years ago. Of course, that makes a good story to cover the reality that they just want all of us infidels to die. As soon as it can be arranged.

It's OK to hate them back. Maybe you get over it, maybe not. At least he failed - don't know if you get the virgins for an unsuccessful attempt.
