I got a new bathroom. Well actually - my wife did - I renovated the old one for her.

I got Misono Japanese chef knives and a magnetic wall rack for them

I tried to tell her there were better guns out there (with less problems and more common), but she always responded with:

"It's too ugly"
"It's too big"
"It's too heavy"
....

She wouldn't be swayed. I only got the Seecamp because she had pretty much forgotten about it (or thought we had forgotten) and nobody had spoken the word for months. She was surprised to say the least.

Most important point:

The best defense weapon is the one you carry.

(akin to: The best motorcycle gear is the gear you wear.)

You can't always convince someone leather is better than mesh...but you'd rather see them at least wear the mesh around town as opposed to a leather in the closet and a t-shirt on their back.

She ended up loving it. It shoots nicely, surprisingly little recoil from something that looks like it wants to fly out of your hand, and easy to hit your mark on silhouettes at close range, even though it has no friggin' sights. It's surely not a gun I'd take to the range to eat up a box of rounds, but it handled the PMC crap pretty well. It will certainly do it's intended job should the unfortunate day arise that it's called upon.

I'm thinking about getting the wife a Kel-Tec though.

As for me, I got a $25 Pacific Sunwear gift card, $25 from my aunt, a ton of free food on X-mas day. My GF is going to take me shopping for clothese next week. I didn't really want much.

I bough myself some gifts in the weeks before X-mas- a pair of Bomex aero mirrors (dropped off for paint yesterday) and a Beatrush rear PPF/subframe brace.

...and this...

We're finally all moved in and the last boxes of stuff are gone and now it's time to resume normality. All of my garage stuff is still packed up because I'm waiting on my 66" storage cabinet, 8-drawer (ball bearing) tool box, 8ft work bench, wall mount cabinet and 4-4' sections of GearTrack to get here so I can have my man-space in the garage. Got the garage floor epoxy coated (not that DIY garbage...this is the nice stuff), pool table moved in and am waiting on the last two pieces of furniture to be delivered (kitchen table and upstairs sofa). Once all that gets here, I'll post up some pics of the diggs.

But for cheezy internet postings, here is the garage stuff I am waiting on...

Tool box-

Tall storage caibnet-

Work bench-

Powerstrip for work bench

Wall cabinet

New house and garage are awesome.

Good idea getting the garage organized from the get-go...it goes downhill fast.
