Now that I'm back to daily driving a miata, I need something that sounds decent. I don't mind spending a little money for some sound. I have the shitty lightning audios in my green car and they suck ***.

I have 3 jl 8w6's in the garage still, a 4x100 MacIntosh amp, and some mb quart seperates...its not like anyone is going to think about stealing the multicolor daily driver...lol.


Anyway, what should I consider? I like to listen to a lot of george michael, cher, pet shop boys, bronski beat, erasure, and barbara streisand.

Older Quart, not that new stuff..

I have 6.5" Boston ProSeries Components in my miata and the sound is ******* incredible. The tweeters weren't really hard to find a location for either, and easy to install. Those speakers cost me a small fortune back in 97 and they're still clear as a bell.

The reason I say older Quart.. A guy I met had some 6" Quart components that cost like 1100$ with a JL amp pushing some crazy 300 watts to them and they truly sounded like crap next to my Bostons.. Back in HS I had an older set of 6.5 coax quarts that I got for 50 bux.. Best sounding coax speaker I've ever heard.

 

i have 6.5 infinity reference components, and just mounted the tweeters in the doors, they sound great w/o an amp and no sub...

 

+1 on the Bostons. Their **** is ******* incredible. Its not an ungodly price either...
