Three police stories from the past week...
Three things happened to me in the past week. Not sure if they are interesting stories or not...
1) Our Miata club hosted a regional event (285 attendees) in Charleston, SC. One morning we took a group photo about 20 miles away. We had a police escort and they blocked off the interstate for us. Since I don't have a heater any longer my windows were fogged up. I drove around the parking lot (it was about 6 AM) trying to get my windows cleared up and was the last one to join the caravan. I got out on the interstate and there was no one except me and 4 cops on motorcycles. It was one of those moments when I wished I had my camcorder hooked up to my roll bar mounts. I got to catch up with everyone by going 100+ MPH on the interstate without a soul in front of me for 1/2 mile and 4 cops on bikes chasing me with their lights on. Very cool!
2) We bought an '05 Lava Orange MSM this weekend in Key West (13 hr drive). On the way down some arsonist set I-95 on fire and they blocked off 40 miles of it. We took a detour and got lost as ****. I ended up going 60 MPH in a 35 and got pulled over. The cop told me that in Florida I could go to jail for 5 days for this but he let me go. Scary but cool.
3) On the way back home we passed a cop on the Florida turnpike. I was going 80 or so with no plate on the car. There was a cop sitting in the median and he pulled out behind me, turned his spotlight on my bumper (plate) and then in my window, lit up the lights and then did a U-turn and took off the other way. I almost **** my pants. I have no idea why he let me go.

There are a ridiculous amount of cops patrolling here in east WI lately, too. Do they just come out when the weather is nice to ruin our fun? Also, I vote #1. Going WOT in front of a cop must be pretty amusing.
