Mine sits about a half inch lower with the full msm suspension. It rides great and still has decent firmness. Its just stock but better.

Levnubbin,
How many miles on those shocks and are they NA or NB? I might take those with "express" shipping.

Thanks again for the offers everyone.

Na shocks with like 80k on them.

That's just what I wanted to hear. some told me the rear springs were much longer but it sounds like I'm in business. I'm about to go start on this after I drink a few dozen cups of Blue Mountain.

Bad shock, great coffee.

I am not at all pleased with my Tokicos. Mine are already sagging.

Granted, the sport shocks and springs are a cheap, entry level setup but I wouldn't think they would be sagging after 10,000- 15,000 miles. The car has never seen any track time and the roads around here are relatively smooth.

Perhaps the premium ones are better but I'm leery of their products because of my experience.

You got the blue ones?

Yes with matching springs. I no likey.

They still dampen ok but the springs are shot.

Hustler, are those HDs NB or NA?

I used MSM springs with a set of NB HDs for the better valving, but it was at least at stock height, if not higher. Been so damn long since I don't know what stock looks like anymore. Same setup with stock springs looked like a monster truck.

Of course my car wasn't a loaded street pig at the time (no interior, A/C, PS etc)... and I'm not a 300lb black woman.

Na HD's. BTW, The NB springs are too tall and now I have 4" wheel gap in the rear.

I have a broken CV-joint boot too. Any thoughts on how I should go about replacing that?

When I get home I can check my notes and get you a cut coils/ride height ratio.

I had to take off a lot more than I thought I would with the MSM springs to make it decent...like 1.25F and 1.75R.

I'm also guessing you found a set of NB spring perches for those open ended springs?

If not I have a Bilstein set I can send on the pronto. Let me know by midday and it'll be at your pimppad tomorrow.

Been there. Had to switch back to NA springs but the NB Bilsteins I put on are nice. I had to use the NB tophats, too.

depending on how bad it is, if its clicking I"d just get a new one.

otherwise I throw some duct tape around the tear until you can get a replacmenet boot and pull the axle. How I did it until I could replace my boot

hustler 08-23-2010 11:22 AM

I have NB and NA perches lying out, and FM rear perches.

The CV boot is torn, nothing more. I may try to "bag-it" rather than replace it.

Its amazing how much better the Bilsteins are than the Tein Flex or Tokico's for daily driving. Monotube for life. I wish I had the money to buy FCM shit for my track car, but I'm poor.
