That's what I thought. I hate that.
There is a website that posts the show in complete download format about 6 hours after it's shown. I can't remember the name of the site.

The episodes that BBCa carries are, at best, one season behind. Strangely, they seem to just throw up whatever episodes they have lying around at the time without regard for sequence, and they re-play the **** out of them on consecutive days. Also, they're cut-down to fit in a US-spec 1 hour timeslot; the originals are actually a full hour long, commercial-free.
On a related note, I just found out today that the Top Gear America project was apparently scrapped several months ago. On the one hand, I really kinda wanted to see if they could do a better job of it than the Aussies. On the other, I expect not.

I'm kinda glad there won't be a Top Gear America. Just like people in the US assume you mean NASCAR when you say you're a racing fan, I'd imagine the same would happen with Top Gear vs. "Gear".
