Check the HELP section in the auto parts store. I got metric carburetor studs that I used on my last DIY turbo build there.

What is the 'HELP' section? Dorman products?

Just the generic section in the auto parts store with general do-dad parts that would fit multiple vehicles. Either Auto Zone or Advance auto actually calls it the HELP! section.

Oh ok, I'll be sure to check it out once I get this damn stud out. Went through like 3 drill bits getting a hole in this ****** for the extractor bit to fit in(stud is made out of diamond or something) and the extractor bit snapped off flush with the end of the snapped stud at my first attempt to remove. Great... lol. Torch and vice-grips aren't cutting it either. Ideas? I have clearance issues, it's in a tight spot.

That is pretty much a worst case scenario. I think you will have to face the reality that you will have to pull off the head.

I'll just leave this here.

I can't find a factory torque spec for the exhaust head studs. Anyone have any suggestions? They're M8x1.25 and about 2inches long roughly. I torqued them to 15ft/lbs I'm gonna run it through a couple heat cycles then re-torque.

Brain, I made sure the picture quality was up to par for you.

I wonder what would happen to a photo if you uploaded it to instagram, saved the picture off instagram after uploading it, re-uploaded it to instagram, etc. Rinse and repeat 100+ times.

Would it just be a grainy blurr?

The one bike I always wanted was a KTM 525. I just went to the KTM website, and it looks like they are not in production anymore. That make me so sad.

I'm gonna neg prop every response that doesn't solve my torque spec issue. I'm scared to snap another stud.

Depends if it is a 8.8 or 10.9 rated bolt.

I looked it up for you. An 8.8 rated M8-1.25 has a torque max of 18.75 ft lbs for Zinc plated and 17.25 ft lbs for not plated.

A 10.9 rated bolt would be 27.5 ft lbs for zinc plated and 25.5 ft lbs for non plated.

Edit: I tested the link and it did not work. Because pdf?‎

My dad bought a KTM 525SX and I took it to the dunes once with the standard knobby. I could keep up with 250 2 strokes and such with their paddles. The thing was a total monster.

Carry on with the awesome turbo supermoto/brain provoking.

This thread has me searching CL for a wr250x...

I'd have to sell the miata to afford one though.

I would rarely use something like this, but man it would be awesome those few times.

Please share more pics and videos.

Does the kit come with engine management, or can you just re-flash with the power programmer?

Awesome
