Do any of you guys watch UFC. If so, did you see the fights that were going last night? Randy Couture is now the heavyweight champion at 43 years of age. In one word, incredible.

ps see my "its working" thread in the megasquirt forum to see what happened after the fight

I went to see the first UFC in Denver CO waaaay back when. Me and a buddy took turns driving 16 hours from LA to Denver through the Rockies in the winter in a CRX without chains. That was stupid. lol

The event itself as a letdown for a lot of people who have never heard of the Gracies or Brazilian JJ, but completely expected for those who knew. The UFC was basically a long commercial for the Gracie Family.

It was predicted by my instructor at the time, Paul Vunak who had been training with Rickson Gracie for a while that once the general American public "discovers" BJJ, the Brazilians would no longer dominate the sport - now look at UFC and the NHB sport in general.

Cro Cop is definately going to push the level of the competition. I just think that it is trully amazing that Randy got the belt again. My boss keeps telling me that I need to start getting back into fighting. He is currently a kickboxing instructor out here at a gym.

im not in karate school, but i get into some fights every now and then.
but i shadow box and punch this brick wall in my basement with 14once boxing gloves.also i wrestle with my little 60pound brother(oh yea that brings up your confidence)

but the last fight i got into went so smooth, because i was watching ufc and paying attention to what to do when you take it to the floor.and i practice taking down and elbowing, headbutting and punching a 90lbs leather car seat.

so i threw a fake punch at this kid,he steped back and i tackled him.i landed ontop of him but he had my wrists,so i started head butting him, then was able to get a elbow up and started to smash his face.broke both my arms free and just started to unload on him.them my neighbor came over and grabbed me and i stopped.

but it came so natural to me this time,i was flowing smoothly.i wasnt even amped up.

Brown belt in Kenpo when I was a lot younger, started taekwondoe, but did not get very far, and did grappling for 3 years back in high school when I was not wrestling. I have been getting back into grappling slowly ever since I got off my submarine.

Stupid UFC caused covers at the local bars for watching the game. Had to pay 5 bucks to just get in so we could drink and play pool.

From the glimpses of the fights... looked like people payed for gay **** from all the grappling going on
