LOL, my two dogs would fill that if my wife went a week between vacuuming. I don't know how they have any hair left on them at all. It's like I could build a dog with the offcasts in a month.

you should see what accumulates under my dresser.

Filter Queen. We've had one for over 20 years now, and minus a yearly belt on the head and a few replacement hoses, its worked GREAT. Its typically run daily.

Dyson for me but honestly my next will probably be a Kirby. The Kriby sale guy camped out at our house for nearly 5 hours and cleaned the crap out of the house. The back to back tests he did between the Dyson and their's made me want to throw the Dyson in the dumpster. He had me go over the same spot 20 times with the Dyson and then he hit the same spot with the Kirby and it pulled up more dirt than the Dyson did in 20 passes. Plus it can steam clean. Only problem was the d@mn price started off at ~$1500... I quickly showed them to the door.

dyson + BBB 20% off coupon = bang for buck.

We have a love/hate relationship with our two carpet cleaners.

Vacuum:

We replaced our crappy Bissell CleanView Helix that was constantly clogging one of it's 4 filters with what we thought was a better option...a yellow industrial Eureka Sanitaire that looks like something hotel maids use. It sucks. It won't suck up confetti, much less dirt. It literally just flings shit at your feet.

I'd rather still have the old bagless that I had to maintain every time it saw carpet than this shit that cost twice as much($150) and literally does not work.

Our next one will be a Dyson Powerball.

I now consider this a must-own for anyone with carpet. If you do one room/area a month you basically cover the whole house twice a year which is about right for medium traffic.

You will be amazed at what comes out of your carpet.

Easy to use, works great...gets you blow jobs from the wife.

There is a marked difference in the way the carpet and the whole room "look" before and after.

We feel much better watching our daughter play on the carpet knowing we actually steam clean it occasionally. We were literally ready to just replace the whole carpet in our <5yr old house when we bought and used this.

My wife was so impressed I got Tein suspension for the Miata the following month.

This shit just plain works.

I am getting a new apartment with all parquet (i know.)

The Dyson gets my vote. It is almost worth the money. I always bought cheap $40 vacs from Walmart and they never really worked great - I just thought most vacs were shitty. My girlfriend hounded me for months to get a new vacuum.

Then, one night as I was pulling up to my house, I noticed something tall and yellow standing on the curb. It was a Dyson, and the lesbians across the street were throwing it away. My gf texted them to ask what was wrong with it - they said it had a "hole in the hose AND it had lost suction". I betted (correctly) that the loss of suction was due to the massive fucking hole in the hose. Duct tape = free Dyson.

If they had a man around maybe they wouldn't have thrown out a perfectly good vacuum cleaner.

Another Dysoner here. It really does get a lot of shit up. Works great on carpet and hardwoods (I regularly vacuum both). The handle is win at cleaning baseboards, behind shit and under shit.

Anyone that finished pre-school?

We have a $400 Dyson and a $40 Dirt Devil. I like the Dyson and it works great, but I swear the Dirt Devil does just as good of a job.

The Dyson looks nicer and it's 100x quieter, thus 10x the price. For a baller like you that's nothing to bat an eye at. I think you should get one for each hand actually.

Another vote for the Dyson ball here. I avoided them for a long time because I didn't feel like they were worth the price. But, I got sick of dealing with bags in our old Hoover - talk about a face full of dust - and our current place is two stories. That Hoover was a beast to drag up and down stairs.

We use it on carpet and wood laminate.

The Dyson "feels cheap" in a lot of ways, but that's probably because it is so light weight. Once you use the sphere system, you will love it. Also, the bin emptying process is so simple and easy to do each time you vacuum.

Our little short-haired dog (~35 pound Corgi mix) boggles my mind. In the summer, you can literally watch the hair spray off of him as you pet him but his appearance never changes.

By the weekend, we have little dog hair tumbleweeds blowing around the wood laminate floors. :ugh:

I bought some Dirt Devil thing with a bunch of attachments I'll never use.

It's OK but I accidentally vacuumed up some of my roommate's Risk pieces so he's been a little irked lately:

Hoover Silent Power. For $140 (and a free Hoover rechargeable portable cleaner), it does the job. The cheapest Dyson we could find was like 3x the price.
