The rest of that article is impossible to read because it's fail engrish. Those wheels are awful. I don't see the 4th point of the seatbelt. Those aren't race seats. As mentioned previously, BRZ already has LSD. Those two hooks are gayness. The only thing that's worth anything is the oil cooler and the brake cooling ducts which are much needed on these cars.
Fail.
Fail.

I'm willing to bet they sell the car with those wheels to cut costs for the customer. They know the people purchasing this model will be replacing the wheels and tires with the package of their choice. No point in putting nice, expensive wheels on the car when they are just going to be replaced immediately anyway.
This "track pack" is designed for the Japan market, hence the less than stellar roll cage, seat and seat belts. That level of safety equipment seems to be the norm for Japan track day cars, and may not be up to the standard of what the US customer might expect.

You guys are taking this crap too seriously.
Did you REALLY think they'd put out a serious no-nonsense track ready version with ACTUAL track parts on it? LOL
This is 2013
Half the kids buying these (or having their parents buy them one) don't even know the function of a brake duct, or a lsd, or a multi-point harness
What I do kinda hope they do though, is create something similar to the Subaru wrx TR, or the mitsu evo RS, where it comes with cheaper seats, cheaper wheels, less accessories, and everything besides suspension/drivetrain dumbed down and cheapened up, so the car hopefully costs a significant amount less, and those that are actually going to track them can just replace all the stuff they would have anyway, saving a chunk of change in the process
