Just checked the web stats, we've gone from averaging 1500-2000 page impressions a day this time in 2005 to hitting over 10,000 twice this week, averaging about 6,000-8,000

we're still tiny, but 3 years ago I had zero idea we'd even get this big. Pretty amazing.

 

I guess most of the guys that know how the forum started are gone lol

roadster chat used to have a greddy subforum that was pretty small, maybe like 30 of us or so actively posting.
they became bigger and bigger dicks and I suggested the dude that ran greddy turbo faq's start a forum then offered to do it.
one of the mods got pissy and said something to the effect of go ahead I dare you.


so i did, and everyone moved
shortly after they closed the greddy subforum and whats his name started a forum, I don't think its doing all that well
He had asked to merge but his web admin was too much of a moron to import our database and userlist. I had suggested he load my forum inline is his page but he didn't want to so... **** him.

 

lot of really knowledgeable folks around... then there's magnamx5


a few of the members from there in the very beginning really helped get us off the ground. He and I don't see eye to eye anymore but we wouldn't be without jeff. (whiteroadster)

 

day 3... he joined may 05. I joined june 05! and then um went on a year and a half hiatus.

Miataflier on roadsterchat owned it. He is a friend and fellow officer in LVMOC.net. Nice guy. His technical guy pretty much screwed things up. As you can see by the link, they aren't around any more. It was offered to me once as a gift, but I didn't want to be on Philip's hit list. He has guns, too.

 

you guys gotta know that i wasn't here very long. I learned everything from Bruce's, Philip's, Tom's, Brian's, etc. help & old posts (Seriously, I've read almost every old post). I would know nothing and probably have 2 blown engines in my garage without the real oldtimers & pioneers on here.

What I noticed, as I finally got my **** under some sort of control, was that the same questions that I asked when I started, were still being asked. So I felt obligated to update the *****-poor GReddy FAQ build-up & help other newcomers not make the same mistakes I did. I'm still learning new things daily and I think others deserve more credit than me. I'm just the only one stupid enough to sit here everyday
