Anyone using a G-Tech?
Anyone here been using a GTech Pro or some other system? Trying to figure out if its a worthwhile toy or not. If you've been using one are you happy? Learned anything from it? Feel it's accurate? If they work well it would be 1. an interesting street tuning tool 2. useful learning tool for HPDE 3. Pretty damn cool to see your g's, hp, stopping distances, accelleration, etc.

Not good reviews so far. Obviously was hoping people liked them. The idea of having #'s on acceleration, cornering g's, etc. as feedback on any changes is really appealing. "how does this tweak work vs. this one" etc.

That's because I didn't get a chance to put in my $.02 yet. I rarely use the g-tech pro because the mounting bracket broke (my fault) and I have datalogging for HP/TQ on my link but I always considered it a pretty neat toy. My 1/8 mile drags with it were pretty close to what I got on the track. I never have trusted the HP readings on it BUT I trust the 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc. The ability to do a 1/8 mile in Charleston, SC in the Miata and then go to Pensacola, FL and simulate a race against a Vette is neat.

I guess some of the complaints have to do with units having to be mounted properly and precisely. Thats not the units fault. I figured too that the data for autoX and HPDE days has to be interesting and educational. How accurate does the cornering, acceleration and braking G's seem to be? That's the most important feature to me.
