So Jenn and I are flying out to LA to see NIN and we'll be getting there with some time to spare tomorrow/friday the 4th and we're looking for some ideas on stuff to do. Are there any good meets or anything? This will come after our tour of Inglewood and Compton, of course. We will be going to C&C while we are out there as well...dunno how many of you go though.



Anyway...ideas?

 

I envy you, I've seen NIN twice. Would have loved to see them one more time.

I have no input about what to do in LA, expect maybe get caught in the crossfire of a drive-by.

LA is a a big sprawled out city cant add much on what to do. I was on a 6 month assignment there several years ago downtown. Unfortunately that area shuts down at 6:00PM. I did eat well though, lived on Sushi and Cuban food the entire time.

 

go to sunset strip or something... id show you some places but im leaving to san diego tomorrow night and wont be back until saturday. if you are still around on saturday, let me know and me and my fiance will join you for an outing

 

Go to the mojave desert. It's nice out there, particularly at night.

 

Went to LA once.. back when I was studying Farsi (there is a large Iranian population there). If I recall correctly, there wasn't really all that much going on at the time in the City.

 

Old Town Pasadena, 3rd St Promenade, the Grove, Malibu, Beverley Center, Long Beach, West Wood, Hollywood...too much to do. Downtown LA too now, from what I hear. Catalina during the day.

If you're into NIN, I think you're probably not into LA clubs.

OC - Spectrum, Fashion Island, Newport Beach, Disneyland, Knotts, South Coast.

These aren't all night events.

go to sunset strip. they mostly play metal and hard rock in clubs there and i live like 2 minutes from there so if you are there tomorrow, we can go get wasted or something.

 

When I went to LA it was pretty easy to find things to do. I did rent a convertible mustang and drove through Hollywood for a couple hours with my girl and checked out all the mansions. Everything else usually consists of drinking or drinking. Ohh and the aquarium was dope! You should check that out if your into that sort of stuff.

Go to In and Out burger, if you've never been.

Just do it.

 

Been to In/Out...it's OK when it comes to comparing local-ish burger chains. Rush's (South Carolina) is much more satisfying..IMHO.

Anyway, now it's Sunday and we drove about 500mi around here yesterday..went to Mulholland, Hollywood Hills, up and down the 405 and the 101 more than I can count, went out toward City of Industry, up and down Sunset/Hollywood blvd, went to Cars & Coffee, went up the PCH to Malibu, took some of the canyon roads off the PCH.

I really want to go to donuts in the Z right in the middle of Beverly Hills
