If it wasnt for The Wire and Entourage, HBO would be up ***** creek.

 

Entourage and the wire are not enough for me to keep the subscription. I'll turn it back on for the entourage months, but aside from that I run with showtime now. The funny part is that I hear HBO turned down "Dexter." Many of the writers are also from 6 feet under, hence the extreme awesomeness of the show.

Californication pisses me off. It should have 1-hour episodes. The 30 minute crap doesn't allow enough time for plot development. Sopranos, 6FU, The Wire, and whatever else were great because of the awesome writing and complex interactions, we can't get that kind of development with 30 minute shows.

I picked up the first season of Dexter on Blockbuster Online. It was excellent, so excellent I got 2 of my roommates hooked on it too.

Entourage is better, though. :P
