cressida was low 20's at best. we had one from 86 to 99.. great car.

We had one as a family car growing up. Let me just say that Automatic + Torque + Minnesota Snow = Suck. Even slight inclines were terrible. Beyond that, very nice car.

Yeah, it wasn't that great in the snow, unless you were trying to have fun, as opposed to trying to get somewhere. ;)

it's the late 70's early 80's model that i was thinking of.. I think that was the only RWD.

i don't think rwd sedan and fuel efficient really go together. unless you're willing to pay for a high dollar sedan (bmw).

reading this thread makes me depressed. basically the answer is: you're SOL.

Pretty much dude, in the name of safety and luxury no rear drive sedan made it out unscathed. If I remember my stats correctly there's really not a rear drive sedan out there that weighs much less than 3200lbs before you sit your ass or put gas in it. That alone is enough to eat a few miles per gallon. Toyota/Lexus is supposed to start offering every car in it's range as a hybrid, so you may want to look into the new IS when the hybrid comes out.

AE86. I have a bunch of them. I bought them when they were cheap as hell, before demand went crazy. Oh no, wait a minute, I blew the money on chicks and beer. And my Boss offered to sell me his ($1500) a million years ago and I didn't cause I wanted an rx7. Oops.
