Or move to Texas where there are jobs.

BTW, I was born in Ohio and witnessed the utter destruction of the economy up there in the late-70s/early-80s. Depressing thing to see.

Born in Cleveland, went to High School in the Akron area. Dad worked for Goodrich. Between 4 years old and HS, mostly lived overseas. After HS, went straight into the Navy and kept on moving.

I seem settled into TX now though. Not a bad place to be.

Sounds about right; rubber and steel went overseas or elsewhere because unions cost too much.

Actually, I think unions have their place as a bargaining power equalizer. Currently, their proper place would be in Mexico and China.

Same for environmental regulations.

If China had US-equivalent labor and environmental laws, we'd be kicking their teeth in.

I dont want my employees to have power.

Today’s widespread unemployment is the result of organized labor’s privileges. Unions support measures and welfare legislation, in the belief that the costs would be paid by taxes imposed on the rich.

The growth of inflation has shown that the major victim of government spending and of taxation is the middle class. Organized labor is part of the middle class—and the actual value of labor’s forced “social gains” is now being wiped out.

He who lives by a legalized sword, will perish by a legalized sword.

Inflation is just a much more agonizing way of reducing federal minimum wage.

Biology major at USF, but never finished and continued my landscape operation that I started in highschool.

In 2005 I formed a new company that uses indigenous plants. I design and build all native landscapes, and dable in some habitat restoration.

Graduated HS with ok-ish GPA, went to a state school in KY where I thought I wanted to get a BS in Criminal Justice until I decided that I didn't want to be a cop because I don't want to give out speeding tickets, this waisted much time/$. Then I thought I wanted to be a Psychologist because I'm interested in how people think & why people do the **** they do. Now I'm board with school, so I'm planning on joining the Marine Corps after this semester is over.

However, I am on the verge of enlisting and finishing school after I get a chance to go over seas. I am bored with school and really want a change of pace for awhile.

I don't know what I want to do for a living.
Seems like you've got lots of college, enough to join as an officer?

Hi backatcha

We are few and far between and with the recession and rocketing gold price, there's even fewer still working
Last few months in the UK have been really tough in the trade side of things, government need to give back some more money to the people so they'll spend it.
Too much jewellery has been scrapped for cash, which has earned scrap companies millions, but leaves so few pieces to be repaired which is the bulk of my daily work load. Fingers crossed for after Easter that trade will pick up.

P.s. Heres my website:

It seems more than it really is. I have my AA and have taken other classes for fun, mostly higher level mathematics. For the last year I have been trying to move and have run into problem after problem and I am just getting tired of it.

I would have to join ROTC and finish my degree at UCF, then I would be an Officer.

What I'm thinking about now is enlisting and them submitting my package to return to school after a year or two. Since I already have my AA and what not it would be a lot easier to make it happen. Plus I would have already started my stint in the Army and have full tuition and living.

But I am still not sure yet. I like school but I really need a break and I want to get over seas before we pull out.
