AKA, Jet Engine Mechanic. Do your time, make rank, get lots of pieces of paper saying you're the ****.

Plan#1: In 6 years, look for honorable discharge and go to work for RollsRoye/GE/P&W/etc... join a union and make 6 figures. Live happily ever after.

Plan#2: In about 4 years (assuming you really are the ****), start putting in STA-21 package, become an officer. Look forward to retirement at 44 like me!

IIRC, I'm a Naval Flight Officer. Just put on LCDR last year. If you're hoping for Helos, then San Diego is the place to be. Jax/Norfolk/Newport... can all blow me if I had the choice between those and SanDog.
