All the ones on my POS Razor suck!
I just want some generic ringers really.

Is there a website that will send them directly to my phone or email and not bombard me with spam or telemarketing? Anybody have a source? Oh Yah, and I don't want to pay for them.

 

Good point Sam, I have been wondering the same myself, how do you get ring tones for free? I am extremely electronics retarded.

serious. i can put mp3 files on my phone like a thumb drive and set them as ringers.

i do it with my razor...through verizon no less....didnt have to unlock it.


download Motorola Software Update if you can find it....when its running and connected to your phone, your CPU will recognize it. then use P2kCommander to access the phone

 

I discovered myxertones.com a while back and it's been great. It's free, users can upload/create/modify ringtones from the database, and so far I've been able to find the tones I wanted just by searching. I found "The Imagination Song" from South Park, all the Pulp Fiction quotes you could want, and full songs, which I edited down to just the guitar solos like the first solo in Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb". The only catches are that *some* of the tones aren't free (so far I haven't paid for a single one, because the "premium" tones are pop songs I wouldn't want anyway) and after about 5 downloads you have to register, but they don't spam you so there's really no drawback there.

but btw doesnt the razor have a usb 2.0 jack? I'm sure you could just hook it up to your computer and load some MP3's.

I just bluetooth over songs from my laptop to my bberry when I want to change the ringers.

 

mp3 + audacity then a cable to your phone. Motorola software was the biggest piece of **** I ever used. My treo was nice as I just chopped it, threw it on the SD card, and set it as ringtone.

Thanks much for hte links guys... that myxerones one looks sweet. I've got a mini-SD card slot so I can put whatever I want on it... just hoping when I do the phone will read them.
