I thought of this durring a previous post!

O-yea I do, I thought it would have been thrown away by now. At Christmas my cousins kids came out riding it on flats, and the wheels woobling. Haha That thing never came apart.

I didn't get to bmx offically. But there was a gravel pit 1/2 mile through the woods. We where not suposed to be there, it had rattle snakes, and had been kicked out several times, and threatened of death by our parents many times. But we lived there. LOL

In the spring it would flood, there were all types of snakes, and we were so stupid to swim in it. That red clay in the gravel, and black top soil made the water STINK. My friend would try to dry off on his bike, but his mom could always smell it. She would chase him around the yard with the belt. We would die laughing until she started to get us. LOL

I think that bike will be my next project to fix up. LOL Quote

Metroid was awsome. And mag wheels for bikes could be straightened in the refrigerator freezer. My mom had a cow when she found all the food on the counter, and a rim in the refrigerator!!!!!!

Or a child of the 90's, I'm glad the mullet is gone. My brother looked just like Joe dirt in 93. He went from prepy to trying to grow facial hair and be tough. LOL

He literally looked like him, same hair color, frame size, height, and just a crazy resemblence.Lol He hates those pictures. I have to find them for christmas!

Ahhh...the 80s.The days of parachute pants, panama jack hats, and Michael Jackson before the little boys. Yas on the cassette player, Def Leppard in the cassette box on standby. All coked up with nowhere to go. Sometimes I miss them.

Heres what I remember so fondly...

 

80's were the best. Fawk, if I could only go back. Times when things were simpler, music was better, cartoons/tv actually taught lessons, and toys were unparalled.

"Knowing is half the battle".

 

Getting suspended was a good thing,it just meant we got more extra holidays than the other kids.

Ah yes....Nintendo,man my friends and I played Tetris and Mario Bros for hours & hours.

The only mag wheels that could be staightened in the freezer were Skyway Tuff wheels.I still have & ride my 1983 Skyway TA,but my daily rider is a Hoffman Condor.I use to get in so much **** for working on my bikes in the living room,nothing like the parents coming home and seeing a patch of WD-40 stain on the carpet.

The best thing about the 80's was the music,I really miss those days.

 

I tell alot of kids nowadays, "if only you could live in the 80's for one week" and they just look at me with a big ?.

A friend of mine had a Micheal Jackson jacket,he wore that thing with pride.I saved up for 3 months just to get the new Sony Walkman back then,Def Leppard is still the **** today,they just don't have bands that make that kind of music anymore nowadays.

Do you still have the Hutch Pro Racer? do you have any idea how much it's worth.

 

I was in elementary school in the 80's, but I remember and miss it. I was just having this conversation at work last night with a friend, remember that show "My Secret Identity"? We were trying to figure out the name of the guy that star'd in it. Freakin "Silver Spoons" with the kid that rode that train through his living room. VH-1's "I love the 80's" is right on the money... I remember coming home from school to watch "The A Team" and "Knight Rider". All kinds of crazy music like "Devo", "Men Without Hats", "Duran Duran". Saturday morning cartoons seemed to go from 7am until after lunch. We had this video game system that didn't have cartridges like an Atari, it was just 1 game, Pong. Nothing like a white dot moving back and forth while you move the lines on either side up and down to bounce the dot off of. We eventually got an Atari, and had the coolest games like "Pitfall", "Centipede", and "Frogger". I had a Skyway and a GT BMX bike with plastic mags, and my skateboard only curved up at the tail, and the wheels were huge like roller skate wheels. Being a pre teen in the 80's seemed like it meant something. Ohh man the 80's...a memory in my mind and heart.

 

That's what some of us say about the 50's(OK, not too many of us)

The 80's were something for me, seeing as I was in high school and college then. Turned 21 in 88. Heck, I was married the first time in 89 IIRC. Those were the days...

The 90's in America were fun however.

 

lol I remember the clear soda frenzy, everyone was freaking out.
I was born '84, but I still have my Intellivision (which came out very soon after Atari2600) with Donkey Kong, Tetris, and a bunch of other cartridge games. And my Commodore64 PC in it's 64KB glory with Test Drive, Zac McKraken, and others on floppy disk.
I remember watching M.A.S.H., Night Court, Cheers, A-Team, Knight Rider, Magnum, P.I., and Simon & Simon.

I had black skyway tuffwheels on my bike. I have NO idea what the bike was because every bike I owned my dad took to work and stripped to bare metal and chromed. he owned a plating shop. badass. we had this park called "maywood" near my house that had this cool area across a mostly-dry creek that was all hooded up by local kids and turned into a mini bmx course with ramps and table tops and ****. the creek was a nice dirt half pipe that you had to cross to get to the course.

I was all legos and new wave in the 80s.

 

legos, multicolored sweat pants, starter jackets, slap-bracelts, and landyards at summer camp. I played Nintendo until I got blisters on my fingers. My mother had a perm and the biggest glasses in the universe.
