Default Miata powered AH Sprite in Seattle

Good deal? Austin Healey Sprite with a Miata drivetrain swap. It's on the Seattle area CL for $3900. Seems like a cool little swap if it was done well. Should be fun & reliable compared to the old brit mechanicals + it seems reasonably priced. Don't know if any NW guys might be interested in checking it out.

Posted this in BS since there might be some thoughts or BS to throw around regarding Miata swaps into otherwise unreliable cars!

Too bad it's a Sprite. There's a bunch of British cars that deserve cool swaps, but I wouldn't want a Sprite.

Now, an MGB GT with a V8 swap...I'd love one of those.

Sprites with miata swaps are totally badassed. I think a bugeye sprite is even cooler. I think the wildest miata swap would be for a triumph spitfire. MGs don't really do it for me.

I like the Datsun roadsters too. MG doesn't do much for me although I do like that green track prepped one. There's a guy that shows up at some of the track days, never runs though, with a v8 MG built by MG. MG did some factory cars with the rover v8 in them.

Bugeye is certainly the preferable sprite but the one I posted is actually done and for sale at what looks like a fair price. Unfortunately reading the ad they didnt' swap suspension or brakes but at least the drive train is up to date and should be good power in that little car.

I did notice right away there is plenty of room in that engine bay for turbo and intercooling! Even a decent 1.6 miata engine is double the hp the car originally had and they only weigh 1600lbs.
