Realy guys i am seriusly considering some more downforce on my rear. Now when i say wings i mean full functional aluminum wings not fiberglass stuff you see arounf so how about it. Who on here has or had experience with a wing and could give me a few sources and Points of veiw to ponder while i select a wing for myself.

I like low spoilers if you have to have them.. wings are a bit over dramatic on such a small car.

I have a huge wing which I put on purely for aeasthetics. However it provides very good downforce at high speeds.

sport compact car had a funky looking aluminum (obviuosly custom) wing on their project miata when they had their project car war. Look into it, but it wasn't sexy...

Mine was much more noticeable when I raised it about 5 inches. Keep in mind though that I am trying to generate downforce at autocross speeds.

I like the GT style wings. Aka like the one on the SCC miata. I believe matt has it on the new miata also.

I prefer the look of carbon wings over aluminum.

I prefer my rice IN the trunk. 30 lbs of rice in the trunk will probably provide more downforce in the rear than a ricey wing on top.

I've always thought at high speed, 100+ the front of the car is what feels floaty.

The m.net thread posted above by braineack on aerodynamics is actually very informative on this topic.

chicken wings...HELL YEAHH!!!!

errr just kidding... I do like wings... on cars that use them, supras etc. you get what I mean....basically cars that are BIG enough to make them function and work properly.

On a miata...nope. Small spoiler/lip does me well!
