Just curious who all speaks a language besides English or is learning to. I know there are a few of you..

I'm learning Arabic, just starting to get the hang of it (it makes my head hurt most days) but I'm at about a 1 level so far.

 

I am conversationally fluent in T-SQL.

 

I can speak and understand enough german to get around. I also have dual-citizenship.

 

I spent 3 years installing alarms and stereos in eastern new orleans, so I speak fluent ghetto, cajun, and hillbilly

 

I'm can speak enough Spanish to get around, want to finish learning German, but I'm in the process of learning Japanese.

 

I can speak Russian Romanian English France
I am not an American

 

I speak Polish fluently.

 

I speak spanish pretty fluently. Lived in Argentina for a while.

 

Speak enough Mandarin to get around. Probably around 2nd grade level.

 

I speak English and Japanese. Ive been learning Japanese for some time, somewhat advanced, but i speak better than i can read and write. Typing is a different story.

 

I can understand most thinks spoken to me in German, I just don't have the cognitive capacity anymore to put it down in words myself. I'm ace at Latin though

 

That's actually more the case with me as well. I understand much more than I can speak.

I grew up speaking 3 languages, but English is my first language.
I used to also speak Japanese as I'd worked in Japan for a year. Funny how when you learn a language when you're an adult, you lose it if you don't use it. However, languages you were only exposed to until you were 10, you never forget...

 

my level of kicking *** is known in every language.

 

I spent 4 years of highschool learning Italian and then a study abroad in Italian Switzerland and I can barely ask where the bathroom is. It's not that I never tried, but language and I just don't get along.

Must have put all my eggs in the English basket.

 

i know a bit of Spanish.
