This is the main point for the OP.


The fleshtb might be better, but who knows without seeing testing.

Butterflies have a linear response, better for road cars (and ALL motorcycles). Even in race cars, like motorcycles, you want load to be linear with throttle position to aid smooth power application.

I WOULD NOT want to be on a ZX-10R with barrel throttles at corner exit.
