Thumbs down why is greddy so lame right now

okay so i called greddy about ordering a new td04h... they said it would takae 4 -6 weeks to get it from japan and would cost 900 dollars...that's basically more then the kit!!!

why is it so hard to find a turbo that will match up to the manifold and dp of a greddy kit? if anyone knows ones that fit please let me in on the secret...

someone sell me theirs!!!

why don't you just send your turbo out to be professionally rebuilt?

your signature annoys me. change it.

Try http://turbocity.com

If you mark the orientation when you take things apart do you still need to balance it? I've honestly never had a turbo apart, so have no idea if that is possible or not.

the turbo bolts to the manifold but the DP flange is different, TurboTim modded a TurboTony DP to fit one and has been trying to sell it for a while.

you'd have to redo the oil lines and probably intercooler pipes.

open your yellow pages. call a diesel shop and ask them to do it.

Rebuilding a turbo is so easy a retard could do it for sure but even a retard needs to follow directions. If you tell them go right and they jump left and get hit by a bus then is it your fault or the tards though. Try ebay try to rebuild agian this time be more carefull honestly rebuilding a journall bearing turbo is very simple hell i even have a sticky on rebuilding the 16g 15g is abit different but still if i can figure it out by myself there is no reason any one can't just be patient and carefull. man people are gettin' on my *** about how easy it is to rebuild a turbo... here's the thing i bought a rebuild kit, just the bearings, bushings, the works...not the comresser fan or whatever..

took it apart...had no problem except for with the big as clamp ont he compresser housing that you need humongo strong clamps to get open, so i go to see if they have them at napa they don't, so the mechanic lets me use his there.. i get home take it all apart lay everything out that i took out in order...

lay all the new internals out in the exactly order... take out the little c rings inside the CHRA or whatever, that was the hardest part. then i replace them with the new making sure not to damage the surface inside...put everything back in the way it is supposed to... make sure everything is pressed together...

and it for some reason has resistanse. take it apart, do it again carefully like braineak told me too. try again...still resistance... i don't know if it's the rebuild kit or what, but it spins fine before i tighten it down... and even so, i barely tigthen it... so whatever , i don't really care.

i'll keep that one in the mean time and send it out to get rebuilt professionally. whatever. hope off.
