My oldest son just brought my car back and he showed me this youtube video; has anyone seen this?

the wii uses a pretty standard accelerometer in the controller. it's very much the same thing in most new laptops as well as the lower end virtual reality orientation trackers.

they CAN do position tracking in 3d space, but they are error prone because they have no baselines/datums to reference other than the accelerations.

here's the basic standard product used in the virtual reality industry.

I still want one of those gadgets. I'd love to see some car racing from the cockpit with those glasses on. Man, even a golf tournament!

go to orlando next week. you can see a whole lot more than just some car racing.

I bought some LED glasses and a bluetooth adapter for that hack but I never got around to doing it. Too many damn projects over here!
