wireless network help
I have a linksys wireless N router, encore wireless access point, and an Xbox 360. Please help me connect them.
Internet is comcast broadband, and the wireless system is working through this laptop, and the modem is working through my PC upstairs. I can access my modem through either computer by going to 192.168.1.1, and I can access the access point by going to the same ip address if I plug it into the laptop and disable the laptop's wireless.
Any hints?
Edit: Not the most solid source to trust, but I bought this $25 access point because of a review online saying it could be and has been used to hook up a 360 to a wireless network.

unfortunately about half an hour after posting this I learned the difference between an access point and an access point client.
Had to disable my laptops wireless and hard wire the access point to it so I could configure it as a client. Problem was the ip address of the AP and router were the same, so anytime I tried to access it it would default to the router. Once the wireless was disabled it took about 30 minutes to get internet on the laptop, and 30 seconds to hook the xbox up. Quick learning curve.
So yeah. Never mind.
