We should all become walking sponsors who wear t-shirts with stupid phrases.

Nothing against that shirt in particular.

Too much money. If it was cheaper and didn't have the phrase I might have gotten it.

It's called having a little fun. I have all kinds of FM/BEGi/Summit/etc shirts that I wear working on the car or to meets. Pretty much all shirts have some kind of advertising to some effect. The 949 logo is no different than a Polo Horse or Nike Swoosh.

I searched "flat out" to try not to double post, fail.

I get the whole don't advertise for free stuff, but like harris said, it's just having fun. I saw, and laughed at the video that was posted here last week, and thought this shirt was funny.

It's a tongue and cheek, inside joke, even Emillios comment about "those of you with no personal safety standards" was a jab at miata guys.

Yes, it is kinda expensive.

Well, for what its worth I only wear bulk pack plain t-shirts. And underwear. And pants. And socks. Even shoes I buy for 20 dollars from Target

Edit: I guess I see what you're saying though

I never have understood why shirts with advertising should cost more than the actual cost of the shirt plus printing. If you are advertising, your shirts should be part of your advertising budget and not a separate profit inducing venture, unless you are in the apparel business and not the (insert product category here) business. If it is going to serve as advertising, then the shirts should be given free or at cost to gain exposure for selling the actual products the business deals in.

Likewise, none of my vehicles have any dealership logos/decals on them because the dealerships have not paid me to advertise for them.

If people are willing to buy them, why not? Make money WHILE your getting free advertising. It is a true win win for the business!

Exactly. Make your advertising just /a bit/ more than advertising by making it something people want, and you'll make money off it.
