Wifey just got an Iphone for work. I'd say about half of our song files are WMA, ripped from windows media player. What do you recommend for a converter to go from WMA to MP3 so the iphone, and the ipod she bought me year ago but is still in the package, will play my favorite songs without reripping all of them?

Free is ideal. Lots of them on google but what have you used that works well?

itunes cant import them?

 

Internets say that itunes will convert them to whatever. Defaults to AAC which I guess is apples file, but sounds like you can set itunes to convert them to mp3 instead. I want somethign automatic and Batch. I guess I should download itunes and see how it works.

 

I like CDex with LAME encoding. not sure if it can do WMA to MP3 though.

 

use the lame encoder at 192 VBR and mp3 container. it should work fine.
