Exactly, you'll be forced to share it soon enough, don't worry.

Now get married, and start paying off the wife's student loan debt ;)

Stein 10-24-2008 08:38 AM

Congrats on being debt free. It's easier to stay there than it is to get there, so you are over the hump now.

Two more years of student loan payments and I'm joining this crew.

Thats awesome man, congrats. The feeling of not owing anything to anyone is a great feeling.

+1 on that. I have been debt free (other than house payment) for over 20 years. My house will be paid for in 3 years. I really need to put new siding on the house and build a new garage.

BenR 10-24-2008 10:20 AM

congrats!

Congrats! My parents wasted a lot of money and really paid for it in the long run, keep it up.

I owe $419 on our mortgage and my wife starts a decent job (Hagerty collector car insurance) after raising our two kids and struggling for six years. Until she makes me buy another house out of hickville, we're golden. I need to borrow $ and buy a car before she spends it all! Actually, I have $16K on zero percent credit cards but I have $17K in the bank. I love freeloading credit card companies, sorry about the crisis everyone. :)

It sucks having school debt, thats why I had a full scholarship. :fawk:

Well done sir. You unfortunately are in the minority and revolving debt has much to do with out present economical situation. Wish more folks followed your lead.

hustler 10-24-2008 11:17 AM

I send $861 per month in on student loans. Hold me.

We need a " I'm Out of Student Loan Debt" thread, so we can celebrate as we all get out. I'm 6 months away! wooo!

xturner 10-24-2008 11:50 AM

Yeah, that's the minimum. I've been sending $1400-2500 per month ever since I bought the turbo shit for my car. If I had an extra $800 per month, my life would be really different.

Ain't that the truth. The wife's isn't nearly that high, but it certainly isn't something I like paying every month.
