I'm gonna necro-post this thread to keep from making a new one.

My whole piping setup is bead rolled and connected with T-bolt clamps. I've had no connection failures in over a year of hard driving, but when testing at 20 psi, roughly half the joints leak a bit of air. I want this **** buttoned up tight.

I found this article interesting. It also makes the case for worm clamps vs. T-bolts:
https://www.onpointdyno.com/war-on-boost-leaks/

In addition to even clamping pressure, they basically say that the narrow worm clamps have more "bite" than the wide T Bolts. I can buy that. So, the plan I'm considering is:
- RTV silicone between coupler and pipe
- worm drive clamp
- back up worm drive with stainless steel safety wire, in case of failure

Anyone used safety wire on IC piping joints? Any results to report? It will definitely have even circumferential tension and enough "bite", but will it cut through my silicone couplers?

You're overthinking this. Acamas made 295kpa on worm drive clamps and beadrolls. If you need more pressure-holding capacity than that, you need Wiggins clamps.

I went from tbolt to Murray constant tension clamps, much happy. Picked up several lots on ebay for wicked cheap.

I used longer couplers and double the clamps on my LGT.
