I have never seen a smart car in person. Of course I live south of the Mason-Dixon line, so it's not likely we'll ever see one here unless a yuppie yankie gets REALLY lost, or if it gets stuck in the front grill of a Dodge Ram.

 

I pulled along side one with my Explorer. The thing was as big as my front fender.

Makes a lot of sense if you live in a densely populated and congested city, as you can get 2 in a single parking spot. NYC, Cairo, Dublin, SanFran, etc. Makes NO sense as a typical American commuter.
