I think "some" prices are pretty much pre-Newtown now. I would say (just from the small amount of research I have done) that quite a few ARs have dropped $300 in the past week.
I almost bought 22LR ammo for $.04 each this morning. Of course, it was sold out in just a few minutes (missed it by 5 minutes) but at least it was listed.
I paid (ugh!) $.60 for IMI M193 5.56 a few days ago. 1200 rounds for $713 shipped. I'll probably only shoot a box or two of it and sell the rest for a few $$$ profit because I just can't stomach paying that much for ammo. I've been shooting the Mosin @ $.19 / round since the school shooting.

I stopped by Walmart Saturday night and picked up some .22lr and .40. Both were in stock, if by stock you mean sitting in a cart waiting to be put on a shelf sold. It was around 9pm and the kind gentleman working the counter stated they get shipments in 3-4 times per week. If you're looking for ammo, install the Walmart mobile app and check it a couple times a day.
$0.04/rd Federal AutoMatch .22
$0.36/rd WWB .40
They also had some Brass Max (Tula) .40 in 50rd boxes and $.04/rd more expensive. It was a great night, scored some ammo and then headed to the local brewpub for some tasty beverages. Now it's time to go shooting.

Last month I had to renew my city business license and one of the forms I had to turn in was a Hazardous materials list should the fire Dept be called on scene - should the place catch fire.
This in mind, have any of you relinquished 'hazardous materials' info to your local fire depts? I haven't - as I don't like others to know what I have. On the flip side, say my house does catch fire, and I'm not around to tell them clear the area, who's at fault say my 40pds powder and xx thousand rounds of ammo goes up, injuring/killing someone? Every bit of it legal to own...
Would you notify the fire dept of your stash? Seriously, I count those boys as highly in respect to our soldiers and police officers. I would hate to see any get hurt/killed b/c of my stash in flames... followed by criminal charges.

Edit: If powder wasn't harder to get than an original StG-44 I'd be interested in testing some theories behind this...

^Don't sweat it... CDNN had flat-top Bushmasters 6 weeks ago for $1400... today, $899.
The bubble is about to burst. I'm going to stick with all my predictions... guns coming back down to pre-Newtown prices early summer, and ammo late summer.
When it's all back to normal, I'm going ape-**** on reloading supplies and material.

Wondering if there will be a second shortage when the prices come down and we all start to stock up again. I will be buying no less than $2000 worth of 22LR and storing it this time around. People like me will have to affect the prices again.
I don't want everyone to think I am an *** but I made some pretty good $$$ during the past few months on guns/ammo. I sold just about everything I had (minus the Mosin stuff). I keep a spreadsheet of expenses and have spent less than $0 on ammo - lifetime! It was pretty easy to do with CCI SV going for $100 a box. I was just fortunate that I had a large personal stash that I was able to dump for good $$$.

You and I both, man. I've got a list containing a metric fuckton of ammo I fully intend to buy once the panic subsides and ammo production has caught back up, most are calibers I don't even own. When it comes to .22lr I used to keep a fairly good stock of it on hand but I've decided that needs to be maintained at a minimum of 20,000 rounds. Being the primary caliber I shoot, and able to burn through 2k rounds in a single day it severely pisses me off that I can't even go shooting right now because there is no ammo available and I'm not brain damaged enough to spend 100$ on a box of 22lr.

You know, much as it pisses me off that people are doing this stuff I honestly can't blame you. If idiots are
My statement was confirmed on reddit by someone who claims to be a Walmart GM who's tired of people coming in and bitching/pissing/moaning because the physical stock in the store matches the stores POS system but some website says they have the product in stock and are "hiding" it from them.
That being said, I downloaded the app and looked up two things: .22lr which shows out of stock for all KC stores, and tulammo (.223) which showed in stock for $5.27 at my local Shawnee location. Quick drive to the store revealed they had a few shot shells and about 20 boxes that I could see of Tulammo .223, however they had a selling limit of 2 boxes per customer per day. I bought two.
