Interesting that they put the charging handle on the left and the ejection port on the right, and that the travel on that thing is so long, seeing as its such a short cartridge. I also didn't realize they had the Sturmgewehr44 program running in '42. Hitler was so short sighted, but his experience came out of the trenches in WW1, so I guess its hard to blame him. Its almost a good thing he never listened to his generals.

I so lust for a StG44.. GSG Makes a .22lr StG-44 replica but it's like $600!!!!

They sell an entire 1911 (in .22). Weight is close to my STI Spartan, trigger isn't bad, frame fully slides, is reasonably accurate. It looks like a 1911 in all components, even breaking it down is close. There is an extra bolt/push pin to remove, but thats because its a fixed barrel.
