I polished my feed ramp and chamber with 1500 then 2000 grit sandpaper before I even fired the thing. Have about 2000 rounds through it without even one fail to eject, fail to feed, stovepipe, nothing. It runs perfectly.

Got my 03 FFL (C&R) today. Not sure what I am going to do with it but I figure I can get some discounts from online gun retailers now.

Yup. Send a copy to Midway for discounts, and to AIM Surplus for C&R rifles.

^Yeah, then hook us up with any discount codes you get.

I also took my PF9 out and did a very cursory fluff and buff... not a mirror shine on the feed-ramp, but I'm not expecting any issues anyway. So far, so good.

They don't give you discount codes, you just see discounted prices on the website. It's a whole parallel pricing structure for dealers.

But -- the irritating thing is that it doesn't show you the non-dealer price. I would usually open Midway in one browser (logged in) and then open it in another browser (not logged in) so that I could compare prices.

On a side note, congrats on getting it. I haven't looked at the type 3 at all but I thought the purpose of it was so you can buy c&r guns across state lines and not have to have them shipped to a FFL in your state or have to fill out form 4473

saves you cash if you're buying nuggets or other inexpensive surplus stuff. I could never justify spending another $15 for the transfer of a $85 rifle, especially when I know I'm going to buy a ton of other C&R stuff once those flood gates are opened.

if you get a kel-tec, get anything but the PLRs... stick with the SUs... I was disappointed when I got to try the PLR, it was so uncomfortable to hold for a pistol setup, but I was happy with the comfort of the SU, and you dont need a tax stamp to put a stock on it.

Because of it's dimensions it has a robust recoil/flip, the one I had, had only one FTF in ~200 rounds and might have been me limp wristing it. I hated the characteristics and sold the gun.

Sounded like fun, looks like fun. I'm more interested in seeing the reactions of people at shooting ranges when I pull it out.
