As a fellow canadian who's been to the States more than a couple of times. I'm afraid, like anywhere else, it's not like that everywhere.
I've had good experiences and bad experiences (especially in NYC).
But if you stick to ''tourist'' locations, people are usually more laidback and seem to enjoy life a little bit more.
But gosh, I tried joking around once with one of you'se and I gotta say, it wasn't the best time of my life. And I'm pretty effin hilarious.
