A good LS2 GTO is going for about the same price as really early high mile C5s.

Can find 04 LS1 GTOs under 10K, with LS1 fbodys ranging all over the place from 5K for a base auto LS1 to well into the teens for a 02 WS6 M6.

You can fit big tires on the GTO the GM guys are just spoiled because on the fbody and Vettes you can hang some 315s with very little and sometimes no work. The GTOs take a little more work but Ive seen 305s on one without any rubbing. 275s are pretty easy.

I almost bought a GTO, but I didnt want to buy a car and then immediately have to do a bunch of suspension parts and when I need anything have to wait to find it. Friend bought one instead, only had it for a month and the ignition cylinder locked up, compressor died, and has front suspension problems.

IMO, GTO interior quality/comfort decimates both the C5 and especially the F-Body. I'm getting ready to get rid of it just because I don't ever drive it.

Anybody wanna buy an 06 CGM GTO w/ 33k miles?

Reading fial.

My experience with early 4th gen Fbodys, 315s fit just fine and only rub a tiny bit when you're doing something you're "not supposed to.." (cornering anyone?)

I think mine are these:

In no particular order:

Tube framed S30 240Z with FD RX-7 suspension and an LSx
EVO IX MR
FC with LSx
FD with LSx
Built Bugeye WRX Wagon (likely to be my next daily once I'm done with grad school)
510 with EVO suspension/drivetrain (silhouette style like the S30 mentioned above)
GC8 coupe with WRX swap
Triumph TR-4 or similar British roadster with modern suspension, probably like the S30 above

Again, I don't think I could do any of those (to my standards) for sub-$20k which is a random and totally arbitrary price cap I am sticking with.
Thats a lot of money for a restored porsche. At that price point IMHO, id buy a brand new one and have enough left over for hookers and blow.

I love the 65 Lincoln. Coupe or convertible? I was looking at verts and compared to the 57 chevy hardtop that I want, contis go for quite a bit less. I swear, mid 60's to mid 70's cars arent there yet, but soon they will be commanding some hefty price tags. Just wait.

There's a saying in my culture. Wanting is not bad, it is bad to not want.

I can respect your choice, but I would argue the Singer is a lot more than a "restored Porsche." There is a lot of custom fabrication and new technology integrated in to that old platform.

It would have to be a sedan and it would have to be black exterior. I'm thinking white leather interior with black piping.

I'll try to dig pictures up of some examples of the cars I listed to make the thread a bit more colorful.

Almost forgot. My dream car.

All my turbocharging dreams, goals and projects inspired (*** alert) by this video I first saw on Street-Fire in 2005. I will have a volvo 740 one day. I'd even settle for a 240 if I came across a nice one.

Only two exotics that I really lust after are the McLaren F1 and the Gumpert Apollo and neither of those fit this thread criteria.

The 740 would have a twin cam head swap, Holset HX35, MS3x ~ 500+whp. My dream car.

2006 Elise. Been #1 on the wishlist for several years. Don't want to "replace" the miata with it though, I don't have enough money to toss it into a wall :( But the initial cost is "low" enough at ~25-30k, and insurance isn't too bad either (until you smash up that clamshell).

Like so (must stick with blue and black theme):

If I had enough money to throw away on a pure trackday toy I'd have to get a Caterham R500.

All but late model volvos look the same to me so I cant tell them apart, but Ive always wondered if I was gonna buy one what model should I look for?
