I'd buy the LS1 miata someone posted on the forum for 12k.

It's making me seriously sad knowing how deep I am into my car and it's still a bone stock 1.6 with a TD04 ... puke.

Have you not seen the prices of E30 M's? I wouldn't call that "cheap" especially for a 25 year old car..

No lie. I have been going back and forth about getting one for the past three years and have seen good examples go from around 16,000 to over 25,000 in that time.

My List:
E30 M3
Used Elise
Early NSX
1995 E34 M5 or 540i/6
Westfield
70's 911 (high end of range)
LSx IS300/FD RX-7

Daily driver is a beater, bone stock 91 that I actually really enjoy driving. If I couldn't drive a Miata..

Daily
FRS with 17x8's and 245/40/17 Star Specs and Perrin ECU reflash.
Prius. Just got '12 Prius for mom. I don't really get a chance to drive it so I'm kinda jelly

Enduro
997 GT3 RS 4.0
550whp, 2400lb Southwest tour/SRL stock car set up for road course with some a little aero, dry break and air jacks.

Sprint racing
C5 Z06 T1
800whp, 2400lb Southwest tour/SRL stock car set up for road course with some insane aero, sequential trans.
997 GT3 RS 4.0

HPDE
Nothing more fun for HPDE than a Miata so I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Autocross
DM Lotus Elan with 10K rpm 230whp Cosworth BDA and 5pd sequential

'99 Integra with twin K20's AWD funness
Escort Cosworth- always liked them
Evo RS
LSx Miata
Very interested in the New Focus RS for a daily and weekend trips
Caterham RS500 or turbo westfield
Some turbo diesel full size van for traveling and getting drunk everywhere.
My buddy and I want a twin engine car. I keep saying we need a twin Busa motored kit car thing.

I like high dollar stuff. However even if I was rich as hell I still probably wouldn't get a Lambo or such. It's hard to justify more than a house costs for a car when I could build something just as much fun.

Oh and while we are on the subject of turbo minivans

In high school I read about a guy who ran 12s with a bunch of junkyard parts and a stock turbo on a dodge minivan, been looking for a cheap one ever since.

^I nearly bought one locally for $500. it had a bunch of handicap conversion stuff in it though so it would have been a bitch to bring back to "normal"
