I've never done any 4 wheeled off-road or desert racing. We'll be driving in some sort of spec buggy class.

Tube frame buggy, 18" of suspension travel, 175hp N/A Subaru 4 cyl, 4spd MT
It's no trophy truck, but you won't hear me complaining.

I'll be getting on a plane in a few short hours to fly out to San Diego, then down to Ensenada for a week of BAJA pre-running. I'll try to take some video for you guys.
Also, SpeedcastTV has the race replay up for the SSB/SSC national championship race for anyone who's interested and missed it live. I think the current one is slightly edited, and it's available in "decent" quality.

Quick update from Pre-running: BAJA is freaking crazy. This sh+t is 90% retarded crazy and 10% amazing.
Unfortunately we've had some reliability problems and generally each day has been a new sort of
disaster.
