Default 92 Miata Project / DD

Hey MT,

Little delayed on my intro but here's a rundown of my car and plans:

- Been reading info on this site since I joined last year. Not really much to contribute as of now since I've just been enjoying it stock at a couple of lapping days

- Car serves as my all year round beater (winter dd and summer track)

- Got into minor collision ending up with bent upr rad support but no damage to anything functional. Cut out support for now to make things easier for my 1.8 swap in my tiny garage

- 1.8 swap is purely for me to learn short block assy. I have some experience with head work but never rebuilt a block before. Co-worker has a 1.8 with FM conversion kit so I have almost all the pieces ready

- Will definitely hope to receive some sound advice from everyone here as I'm planning to split up my motor plans into 2 stages:

1) 2012 = 1.8 swap and build internals for 2013 boost plans

2) 2013 = leaning towards Rotrex SC at the moment. Goal is ~200hp

- Still researching around but at this point I'm trying to decide on parts for block internals

- MLS HG also planned just haven't picked one out yet

Anyway, enough talking. Here are some pics (nothing spectacular):

(1st day)

(Random school project)

2012 Plans
- 1.8 swap
- Roll cage (EGR)
- Coilovers
- Install R888s on something (need to find set of light wheels still)

- Aside: E30 is summer DD/occasional track toy. Above pic is in its stock form but I've been busy working away at it this past winter so it's different now. Baja SAE car was my 4th year project. I was responsible for frame.

Looking forward to getting the Miata back out at the track asap!! Thanks for looking

I wish my buddy took a picture of me pulling up to his shop on my gsxr1000 with a rear tire around my waste (Competition Cycle wouldn't mount a 180 on a bike that called for a 190 tire).

@Udlose: I wish I had gotten a picture of the Miata fitting in 2 wheel assys, 4 loose tires, 2 loose wheels!!! That's pretty much the MAX you can fit I believe in the Miata. I struggled with the last tire and had to force it in passenger side against dash lol
