I do quite a bit of trackdays per year out there. I am exactly 2.5 miles away from the track, so it's convienient. As a matter of fact, that's the reason I bought the house 5 years ago because it was soooooo close to the track (Don't tell the wife!)

go to http://www.waterfordhills.com/ for track day schedule. Also in the western part of Michigan there's another track called Grattan (http://www.grattanraceway.com/). Check them out too. Never been there but they do have open track days.

Grattan is a far better track than Waterford Hills. I absolutely love it. There is also Gingerman raceway on the west side of the state as well. It is probably the best track to learn on if you haven't road raced much before.

Woah, what the hell, people from Detroit? I thought I was alone out here. One was banned and the other sold his Miata.

I'm in Oak Park right across 696 from the Detroit Zoo. I can't afford track days yet (college) but I make it out to alot of auto-x events. Good to see other people here.

cool...hope to meet you at one of the DCSCC events. I want to take a ride in your Miata just to experience what difference a turbo makes.

I would definately be up for a GTG once the weather breaks a little. Hopefully by then I will be done ripping the car apart and then putting it back together.

I'm hoping to have my car done in about a month or two. Right now it's sleeping. I have 90% of the parts, just waiting of the weather.

I'm not very good at auto-x. Last year was my first season, I made it to 4 events I think. I have more fun just going crazy than actually making a good time.
